So, Samford, and every other SoCon school will receive just under $67k/year for the next 6 years, 2024-2029 because of the Furman participation. I don't know what the FU total will be but advancing that one game was really important.

My principles cannot be bought. Damn your filthy lucre. The day I cheer for Furman will be the day the music dies. Damn Furman. Damn it to hell.
PS. Are you saying we get $67,000 a year for the next six years because of a single win and a blowout in the NCAA tournament? And why do they get 6 years to pay it out?

I only meant that we needed to pull for Furman TEMPORARILY to win some tourney games for the $$$. LOL! As for the 6 years of payout, that is nothing new. It was several years we received money for the Davidson run. I guess maybe the NCAA uses the money for interest purposes, although I don't know for sure.
I can certainly recall 'The Day The Music Died' and hearing the news that my favorite-Buddy Holly, was gone. He is the greatest R&R artist of all time, and his song 'Rave On' is the greatest rock and roll hit of all time. What a crying shame that that loser Gary Busey was allowed to sing (I should say try to sing) Buddy's songs in that movie. Many great singers and groups have given Buddy much credit for their start and success. Even THE BEATLES have said so. Elvis said that Holly was the one he admired most in R&R. I won't even try to list the myriad others who also feel this way.
I make NO apology for my personal rant about the line 'The Day The Music Died' as I still get chills from listening to Buddy Holly sing 'Rave On', 'Oh Boy', 'Peggy Sue', 'That'll Be The Day', and all of his others. TURN UP the volume to at or near max if you wisely decide to click onto this link.
