In 1969 Jax State hired Charley Pell as the HFC, his first head coaching job. The last game of the season was at troy state, and evil prevailed 37-6. Getting on the bus after the game, Pell told the team “next year we’re gonna whup troy.” They worked for a year with that one goal. One year later, not only did the Gamecocks win 55-10, they finished the season 10-0. Revenge is a powerful motivator. |

Indeed this is a make or break game. If we only muster 6 points as FUBeAR prognosticates, the days will be dark in Homewood. Luckily for us, we have too much offensive talent to allow that to happen.
