Don’t forget the big 3 by Campbell. If we had fed Campbell more, we win by 10. Oh, and thank goodness we had the homer refs. Otherwise, Furman would have beaten us by 100. Just ask their fans on their cite and twitter. We scored five points in one second. Campbell hit the three with :39 left and Marshall hit two FTs with :38 left. A five point lead erased in just a second.

I’ve been watching Samford basketball for almost 50 years and I’ve seen us lose that game too many times to count. What a big win! Marshall was incredible. A huge team win.

My time as a Samford fan started in the Padgett era, so Samford history is not my specialty. All things considered (the season, great game, environment, etc.), was this the best finish in our history?? By far the most electric finish to a game that I’ve seen. There are folks on here with lots more history/memories than I have, but my all-time favorite was Travis Peterson taking an inbounds pass with .4 on the clock and hitting a 3 to beat Murray State our first year in the Hanna Center.

Little brother got his hand slapped trying to put his hand in the cookie jar. FU always looking up to daddy Bulldog. They had to make up a word just to try to sound cool. The “Dins” got 0 wins at Samford today.

That was the longest .4 seconds in history. lol The best part was the Murray State player celebrating, thinking the game was over, by throwing the ball toward the ref who sidestepped to avoid getting hit and allowed the ball to sail out of bounds. Similar to the way Hein kept throwing away his passes tonight.

Win Saturday we win the SoCon title outright. Hate to burst your bubble, but we still have to win 2 of the last 3, unless both G and UTC lose on Saturday. SU 13-2 G 11-4 UTC 11-4 after tonight. If G and UTC can win out to get to 14-4 (they aren't playing each other), so to win outright, without sharing, we need to win at least 2 to get us to 15 wins. If we win 1 & lose 2, then there's a 3-way tie for conference championship, but we get the 1 seed because of tie breakers. We lose all 3, then we're the 3rd seed, assuming G and UTC win out.
