1. We haven’t accomplished anything yet. This is a business trip and we can’t take anything or anyone for granted. Search and destroy.
2. ETSU has mo on its side. Cinderella is looking for her slipper. Destroy it.
3. Expect ETSU to play on adrenaline for a while, especially with the crowd behind them. Absorb the haymakers and keep on doing what we do best. They are an athletic team who in my opinion underachieved this year. I saw a lot more talent on that roster than they got in results. They played us even in the second half at our place. They are more than capable.
4. Minutes have to add up. Make them quit half way through the second half.

ESPN already pushed it to ESPN2. JMU vs Arkansas state gets the ESPN slot for the Sun Belt finals.

I would assume that ETSU’s win is what made them move it. Point spread for Sun Belt final is 5.5 and it’s 10.5 for SoCon final

Yeah, they flexed us to ESPN2. A Samford-UTC/Chattanooga final would have probably kept us on ESPN...not that I am complaining of course.

Team seems really focused this morning. Just spoke with Samfords president and we have two bus loads of students coming. Left at 10:00.

REBOUND!!! That is the keyword for tonight. ETSU thrives on using their length which is impressive as they go 6-10, 6-8, 6-5, 6-5, and 6-1. That is why the small guards of UTC had so much trouble with their press. Last night ETSU had an amazing 24 offensive rebounds. This allowed them to fire up 79 shots compared to UTC who had 53 shots, which was ironically the very same number of shots that ETSU missed.
One of those 6-5 players is guard Ebby Asamoah who is second in the SoCon in made 3 pointers. In our 2 games with them, he scored a total of 31 points. Achor got in foul trouble in the first one up there and ended up with a total of 3 points. Jermaine did not play in that game. In the game at PHC, Achor did not play, so those two factors may be why they outrebounded us by a total of 16.
ETSU is one of the most physical teams in the conference. Achor will have to be able to take some licks. Hopefully, Marshall can have a good game especially rebounding. I hope also that AJ can contribute when needed.
GO DOGS!!!!!
