In our case, if no F$U game, then $450K is at stake. Heard last night that our AD was either on a morning radio show or quoted on the show yesterday, that without the check, the department would be looking at a $450K loss. Maybe someone out there can provide the details of which radio station and which show. Tulane reported yesterday they spent 100k in testing athletes and coaches just last month.

Sit out a year of football and you come out on the back end of all of this in decent shape hopefully. Play this year and you wind up well into the red in a pseudo season and perhaps significantly set the program back financially for years to come.

CAA just cancelled their season. I think we all know what is coming.

Exhibit A in why I think p5 schools are going to try and get some season in versus why FCS will not.

BTW, here's the force majeure clause — Not sure if this is what you are insinuating, but, if a P5 decides to play a conference only schedule, before a FCS blows a season dead, I find it highly unlikely that a FCS school would try to force a payment. Would be incredibly short-sighted, IMO.

Would be incredibly short-sighted, IMO. Not at all. Just pulled the clause from the al.com article on the impact to Auburn from losing their season opener opponent: www.al.com/auburnfootball/2020/07/how-the-swacs-decision-to-postpone-2020-football-season-impacts-auburn.htmlI didn't spend last night at a Holiday Inn Express, but I do have an internet JD from Wikipedia: My intent was the part about freeing both schools from liability or obligation because of a circumstance beyond the control of either party. SU Dog, as you say a lawsuit would be short-sighted, especially when FCS schedules open up for non-conference opponents, as Auburn's does in 2024. It's not like the SWAC is planning on a full schedule in the spring, but at least those seven in-conference games would provide some income.
