Basketball team starting the season at Purdue. Achor better bring his A game playing against big Zack. Purdue should be ranked top 5. I’m excited though. Purdue you either want to play early in the season when they are not in a groove or in the tournament where they fail.

Show up, gain some experience, cash the check, and return safely to Birmingham.

Honestly in Iowa it’s a lean toward football but as an Iowa State fan we lose our crap over basketball.

It's nearly four months before the first MBB game and their 2023-2024 roster is already on their website. What a novel idea!

The last time we played them, they beat us 80-40. 🙄. I think the Hickory team with Joey Chitwood could have done better than a 40 point loss. I’m not talking about in their prime, I’m talking about those guys in assisted living in 2005. I get it’s the BigTen, but a 40 point loss is just quitting material.
The year before they beat us 65-50. It sort of looks like we suck against Purdue. We put the PU in Purdue.
I hope we keep it close.

Greatest athletes of all time in their respective sports:
Basketball - Jimmy Chitwood. He could beat you so many different ways, completely impossible to guard. Ran "The Swinging Gate" play like it was invented for him.
Baseball - Roy Hobbs. What other BB player has ever knocked the cover off the baseball? He could pitch, he could hit, he could field - he was just a "Natural".
Football - Bobby Boucher Jr. From humble beginnings this guy from the swamps of Louisiana started out as an Aqua Engineer but propelled himself to become the greatest LB of all time. He was named MVP of the prestigeous Bourbon Bowl.
