Kid from Sacramento State yesterday was HBP seven times in a doubleheader yesterday. He is off to a great start in the OBP department, but he paid a price for it.

Seriously, how can they weight wins and losses against any individual team at this point. We mercy rule these guys again and we fall 37 places. How do you give us a weighted score after the first game of the season. Everyone is literally 0-0. If we sweep them, they will be a winless team, so we’ll probably fall 69 places. For a data based system, you have to have data. Otherwise, everything is just a work in progress and at the outset just bizarrely random.

What is most important about this game was the way that Michael Ross pitched. Yeah, Queens is obviously a weak team, but Ross pitched 6 innings allowing ONE hit (although a HR), no walks and a bunch of K's ( box score not out so I don't know how many), and you'll take that ANY day.
