From what I read, Charleston is willing to throw down a lot of money toward the program right now. If Bucky wants to chase the money, that is his prerogative. I wouldn't be surprised if he was soon up for some power five jobs, but a move like this would be very surprising.
Or is Bucky playing Charleston for more money from Samford?
Or maybe the report was incorrect? I dunno.

I've seen it reported that Kelsey's base salary at Charleston was $1.1M per year. Louisville will more than double that amount.

That’s about what 03 makes in a month, before taxes.

Charleston has its man. Chris Mack, former Xavier and Louisville head coach, is now the man at Charleston.

That’s the first big domino. If the second one falls, I have to think that the third and final domino will probably fall. The UK job is the one potential job opening that has concerned me the most. It appeared to be settled after Calipari and Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart settled on Calipari returning next season. Apparently that is all for naught now. Kentucky won’t owe Calipari a penny if/when he takes the Arkansas job. They are going to have a lot of cash to throw around for their next hires…lots of cash.

What dominoes are you referring to here Smurf?

If UK hires Oates, then...

If UK hires Oates, then... I gotcha. Don't see that happening for a number of reasons, especially if the most recent Oats contract at Bama has been signed. I think Kentucky will and can go big. Drew, Hurley, Donovan in that order. Coaches like Drew and Hurley can't stay forever with the revenue distortion coming between the p2 leagues and everyone else. I believe the number is a like 30m a year difference per school annually.
