Gathering the data is easy. Interpreting it (accurately) is the hard part. A lot of people gather data and a lot of people misinterpret data. In fact, very few people are qualified to interpret data and very few properly interpret data, including whether the data you have gathered and interpreted means anything.
I suspect that the data that Alabama coaches interpreted is the same data they interpreted when they got bounced from the SE conference tournament, which isn’t likely to be the data I have seen posted on this board to support one theory or another. You see, one example does not prove your proposition. Alabama won, it must be the data they looked at at half time. That’s pure speculation and conjecture. Did the data show that one guy would hit 7 threes in the second half? Way too many factors, not to mention dumb luck. You may be right, but your cited authority isn’t a reasonable basis to even draw the inference you have drawn from it.

You may be right, but your voted authority isn’t a reasonable basis to even draw the inference you have drawn from it. It showed they were getting great, efficient looks and that a player over the course of 40 minutes will eventually shoot somewhere very close to his average. Which is what Sears eventually did. They had no reason to change their plan is what it showed. Anticipating player to shoot his average over a season is far from dumb luck, IMO.

By the way, Happy Easter. I’ve read enough data in the Bible and the extra Biblical references to have drawn a reasonable conclusion that Jesus lived, he rose from the dead, he is the son of God and there is no other name under Heaven by which man can be saved. Does some of it blow my mind, yes. But is is the only conceivable way. Nothing else makes sense. I have tried to prove and disprove seemingly every other way, and I’m convinced that Jesus is Lord, I’m a Sinner and I need repentance and daily forgiveness. In sum, I’m only worthy because I recognize I am unworthy and I can only be worthy by accepting his free gift. It is so simple, but so hard to accept and understand. It is free, but it comes with a price. Denial of self and the condemnation of the world are costly, but so worth the earthly sacrifice. Take up your cross daily, stay the course, love one another.

I said before the tournament, if Bama can hit its 3s it can play with anyone. That’s their style. If they are off, they are vulnerable to anyone. I don’t need data analytics to draw that conclusion. So, Bama played the way they have played all season because that’s the way they play. In the 30 something game of the season, if Nate Oates doesn’t have confidence in his style, team and shooter, i.e. its identity, he shouldn’t be a head coach. The inferences you have drawn from the ESPN article are just illogical.

Better than most sermons preached today!

Also, I can assure you stats/analytics are playing a significant role on Lakeshore. [/div][/quote]
This is true. Both schools use HD Intelligence.

The portal closes a month from today. We have another 30 days of this nonsense.
