x.com/samfordscoop/status/1769827032433582333?s=46&t=EjtEgx1bj4MB4OZQmrWNCgTime for a new coach. She has trouble relating to her players. This is an all to common occurrence under her and her teams have at times (too many times) appeared to go through the motions. She isn’t getting it done with her players and her time should be up. She seems like a nice lady, and started out like a house on fire with another coaches players, but she’s been a bust since. If we are waiting for her contract to run out, then just get 12 graduates in the portal and hope for the best and write next season off.

Would her job really be at risk this year? It seems many teams have struggled to find footing the past few years and at least on the men’s side it’s due to the portal and nil affecting recruiting. Covid seemed to also affect recruiting and most workplaces so I assume coaching staffs are no different. I believe heidger is the only defection they did not expect from this as the older players had generally planned on this. Marchbanks was no surprise based on her season and one would have to assume that was going to end in transfer.

I would think that at least some serious talks/questions would be appropriate if her job is not at risk. Samford's season was not affected like this by covid or NIL, IMO. We were not a team that ever found its identity. This team was definitely more talented than to end up with a losing season both conference and overall. I posted my concerns about our substitution and starting patterns way back during the season. Anyone could look at this team playing and see that something was definitely wrong. This exodus only reiterates that fact.
