Hopefully that is all we lose. Guessing Achor has a lot of people in his ear telling him how much he could make at another school. Hopefully he stays.

Not a surprise. He was rumored to have had a deal in the works mid season. He is a good player, but seems like his body wore out on him this past year. Did not play up to his potential or expectations. I hope he’s leaving with a degree. He seems like a hard working, good guy. I wish him the best.

That loss hurts, but hopefully we can find a replacement in the portal. He brought a lot of versatility with his defense, his ability to drive, and his much improved shooting. He represented us well. We will need to go hard in the portal in search of SG/SF types. Incoming freshman Zion Wilburn was a very nice get for us at that position, but I just don't know if he will see big minutes next season.
I'll forever have an imprint in my brain of his clean block against Nick Timberlake.

I would say AJ made the biggest and most well known play in Samford history with that block. 30 years from now Samford fans will still be talking about that play. He is a good dude and deserves to make some money and play a better system for his body that kept breaking down. I wish him luck in the future and will be excited to see how he does in a different system

Wonder if Bucky had a chance at KD Johnson from Auburn No. Are you saying no because you know or you think he is a higher level. He is not a higher level. That is for sure. He could thrive at the Socon level but no power 5 team is going to want him for anything other than a backup or a total program rebuild like Vandy

Do I think he's starter on a top 15 team? No, I do not, but a big gap between 16 and the SoCon. He's old and played a ton of ball at a high level, which is very valuable at the college level.

Sounds like you just described Bubba Parham. He’s not that good. He is mid major good in my opinion

Not to mention defensively Johnson is night and day better than Parham.
