Sounds more like a SELA tailgate to me.

According to Wikipedia, crowd noise often averages between 102–106 decibels. Think about taking the noise level of Jordan-Hare and putting a lid on it. There's no where for the sound waves to go except back to the field.

Anyone up for chartering a flight to Fargo Friday after lunch, home after the game? Could we see if “Coach Cooney” will sponsor the flight? Jokes aside, there’s definitely a few students (myself included) who would genuinely LOVE to go. As a general fan of college football, this almost seems like a bucket-list trip. Unfortunately, making this trip is extremely unreasonable for us. With as much as we pay tuition, maybe Samford can help sponsor a trip?

Uhhhh, think Jordan Hare but 10x smaller and then put a lid on it. 15,000 is the opposing team's allotment in your typical SEC stadium. They want to go D1 (because they want to be off this time of the year before their Bahama's bowl game in December--considering they are in Fargo, I'd take that over the FCS playoffs any day. . . it is just me, but I'd head to the islands right now living in Birmingham, I'd put a gun to my head if I lived in Fargo), but don't you have to have a 30,000 seat stadium to be D1?

I think it is more about attendance. Schools have to technically average 15,000 a season for home games to meet the FBS standard.
Outside of Hawaii, which is a facility mess right now, Charlotte has the smallest FBS venue at 15,314. However, they are in the early process of expanding that to about 30,000.

Noise level at JH is north of 100 dB with an open stadium, so there is some dissipation. Fargodome doesn't allow that. 85 dB is maximum safe exposure limit for 8 hours per day. At 100 dB, exposure limit drops to 15 minutes. If noise level reaches 110 dB, maximum exposure time drops to 1 minute. Exposure to these levels longer than the time limits could result in permanent hearing loss. Imagine all those Bison fans walk around saying, "Huh? What did you say?"

The Bison board is about as boring as . . . what I imagine Fargo is like. I am not one to abstain from strong drink, but these guys appear to drink antifreeze for entertainment. For such a storied program over the last 10 years, their fanbase is. D. U. L. L. dull. It is the Largest school in the state and they can’t fill a 15,000 seat arena on a Friday night, yet they bitch about us not traveling to their godforsaken zone of snow death. Watch the jambalaya at the tailgate too, there are gophers and prairie dogs missing. Must be snowmobile and Moose season cause the fans have gotten bored with the Bison.

Serious question, where do people in Fargo go to the beach? Duluth?
